Before the image, there was sound. A qualified sound engineer, Lenny Carter first spent two years in a recording studio, working with labels and artists.

In 2014, he shot his first music videos as a self-taught filmmaker, then joined a film school to master the craft of cinematography. He graduated as a director of photography in 2016.

His artistic sensibility quickly led him to work with many production companies, on music videos and commercials alike. In 2022, he founded his own company, Santa Rosa Production.

Today, he has more than 1,000 music videos and commercials to his name as director of photography, for artists such as GIMS, Jul, Jason Derulo, Fally Ipupa and Tiakola, and brands such as APM Monaco and Roger Vivier. In 2026, the short film Coupez! earned him Best Cinematography and the Audience Award at the Nikon Festival.

Based in Paris, he shoots in France and internationally.
